If I have a Transport Document number issued in
2007, what is the procedure I should follow ?
(This procedure is applicable from 1 January 2008 until all
pending Transport Documents of 2007 have been substituted) As
from 01 January 2008, it will no longer be possible to input a
declaration with a TDID issued in 2007.In these cases a new import
declaration is to be created. It is imperative that the words ‘To supersede TDID
2007600xxxxxx’
(where xxxxxx is part of the TD ID number)
should be inserted in box No. 44.6 in the
supplementary information of item 1 only.

If I am
creating an ex-Warehouse Declaration, what reference number should I put
in Box Number 40 ?
(This
procedure is applicable from 1 January 2008) The procedure in this
case will remain unchanged, that is: the
original warehousing entry TDID number followed by the item number
should be declared in the summary declaration field box 40.
(example: 2007600xxxxxx/i
(where xxxxxx is part of the TD ID number and i is the item number)) for ex-warehouse declarations.

I
have a declaration which had been submitted to Customs before 29
December 2007 and was awaiting payment / examination / or release.
It is now 2008. Do I have to create another declaration in the
'Euro' CES system ?
(This
procedure is applicable from 1 January 2008 and applies only to
outstanding TDIDs from 2007 which had already been
submitted to Customs) No, there is no need to create another declaration. The
declaration has already been accepted and processed. All you need to
do is to proceed as usual to the cash office or the verification for
a gate pass or to the dispatch office accordingly. Whichever customs
section you proceed to always quote the TD ID reference number.
